Iran confirms assassination attempt on President Pezeshkian amid Israeli airstrikes
‘Iranian president sustained a minor wound to his leg’

(Web Desk): Last month, during the war, it has been revealed that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was injured in an Israeli attack on Iran.
Iranian media confirmed several days after the end of the conflict that an attempt had been made to assassinate President Masoud Pezeshkian during Israeli aggression, in which he sustained minor injuries.
On June 16, six missiles were fired at the entrance and exit points of the building during a meeting of the Supreme National Security Council in Tehran.
Following the explosions, power was cut off on the affected floor, but officials inside the building managed to escape through emergency exits.
During this incident, President Pezeshkian and some other officials suffered minor injuries. The Iranian president sustained a minor wound to his leg.
It is worth noting that earlier, in an interview with American journalist and former Trump ally Tucker Carlson, President Pezeshkian revealed that Israel had attempted to assassinate him, although he did not share specific details at the time.
It is also important to note that on June 13, Israel launched unprovoked airstrikes against Iran, effectively initiating war. The United States also carried out attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The Israeli strikes occurred just days before a scheduled round of nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington, which were then disrupted. The negotiations were aimed at reaching an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program.
