Lahore braces for rain as monsoon system intensifies

Lahore: Like other cities in Punjab, the monsoon system is also present in Lahore, due to which light to heavy rain is expected in different areas of the city today.

Due to the dry weather, heat and humidity have intensified in Lahore. The minimum temperature is expected to be around 28°C, while the maximum may reach up to 32°C.

In view of the expected rainfall, officials and staff of WASA, LWMC, Metropolitan Corporation, and the Housing Department have been put on alert.

MD WASA, Ghaffran Ahmed, has instructed that employee attendance be ensured at emergency centers. He stated that in case of rain, operational staff, officers, and workers will be present in the field to manage drainage.
