Security forces foil infiltration attempt at Pak-Afghan Border, net 5 suspected suicide bombers

Peshawar: Security forces thwarted an infiltration attempt by militants at the Pak-Afghan border and arrested five suspected suicide bomber.
According to security sources, on the evening of July 17 at around 5pm, militants attempted to infiltrate Pakistan from the Pak-Afghan border. Upon receiving intelligence, security forces established checkpoints at five different locations. At approximately 6:25pm the militants crossed into Pakistani territory.
Sources added that after the infiltration, the militants moved towards the Aziz Khel and Mandi Khel areas. However, due to the presence of security forces, they sought refuge in a mosque in Baisi Khel. The forces promptly surrounded the mosque.
Thanks to the security forces’ effective strategy, the militants eventually surrendered.
Further details revealed that the arrested militants are Afghan nationals, three of whom were found carrying Afghan identification cards. The detainees are believed to be between 15 and 18 years old.
Security sources added that all suspects have been moved to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
