(Web Desk): Reko-Diq Mining Company (RDMC) has paid over $17.5 million in royalties to the Balochistan government, officials revealed during a media briefing on the project’s progress.
Communications Manager Samia Ali Shah stated that as of June 2025, RDMC has also paid nearly $3.8 million to the federal government in income taxes on behalf of employees and other stakeholders. She emphasized that the Balochistan government holds a 25% stake in the project without any direct financial investment.

The briefing also shed light on RDMC’s commitment to local workforce development. Trainees who recently returned after 18 months of technical training in Argentina—fully sponsored by the company—were present at the event. Notably, 14% of the trainees were female.
Shah highlighted that the project offers long-term socioeconomic benefits for the region, especially through skill-building and employment opportunities for local youth.
