Security forces launched operation following intelligence reports regarding presence of foreign militants

Hangu: Four militants were killed during a joint operation by police and the Thall Scouts in the Doaba area of Hangu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, targeting foreign-backed terrorists.
District Police Officer (DPO) Khalid Khan and Station House Officer (SHO) Nabi Khan were injured during the exchange of fire and have been shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Security forces launched the operation following intelligence reports regarding the presence of foreign militants in Hangu. During the operation, four militants were neutralized in a gun battle with police personnel.
The militants also opened fire on law enforcement officials, resulting in injuries to DPO Khalid Khan and SHO Nabi Khan. Both officers were promptly taken to the hospital for medical care.
Police officials reported that targeted operations were carried out in several areas, including Zargari and Shanawari. Rescue 1122 confirmed that DPO Khalid Khan was transferred to Peshawar in injured condition.
According to hospital administration, DPO Khalid Khan sustained four bullet wounds, while SHO Nabi Khan received minor injuries.
Police officials stated that the operation is ongoing and will continue until the area is fully cleared.
