Highway bus accidents are common in the country, often caused by speeding, driver negligence, poor weather, and bad road conditions

(Web Desk): At least nine people lost their lives and over 40 others were injured in two separate bus accidents in Sindh on Saturday, highlighting ongoing concerns over road safety in Pakistan.
The first accident took place near Darsgah Muhammad Ali on the National Highway in Thatta district. A bus carrying picnickers from Karachi to Keenjhar Lake overturned due to speeding, according to rescue officials. Six people were killed and more than 20 were injured. The victims, mostly from Orangi Town in Karachi, are being transported back to the city.
Edhi Foundation confirmed that the bodies are being moved to a morgue in Orangi Town, while the injured are receiving medical treatment.
In a separate incident the same day, a passenger bus en route from Karachi to Mansehra overturned on the National Highway in Khairpur near the Tando Masti area.
Three people died and at least 25 others were injured. According to police, the crash occurred during heavy rainfall and was likely caused by speeding. The injured and deceased were taken to Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) for treatment.
Highway accidents involving passenger buses are frequent across Pakistan, often attributed to driver negligence, overspeeding, poor weather, and substandard road conditions.
