Victims were invited for a feast by woman's brothers

Mastung: Another married couple was killed for 'honour' in Balochistan on Wednesday.
According to Levies officials, Muhammad Shoaib from Panjgur had a court marriage with the woman of his choice seven years ago.
A reconciliation with his in-laws had recently taken place. Following this, Shoaib’s brothers-in-law invited the couple to Quetta under the pretext of a family gathering.
Levies officials reported that Shoaib, accompanied by his wife and brother, traveled from Panjgur to Quetta in response to the invitation. They stayed overnight at a hotel near Lakpass.
The next day, the victim's brothers arrived at the hotel after a phone call and allegedly murdered both husband and wife before fleeing the scene.
According to the Levies officials, the victims were between 27 and 28 years old. They had two children, aged three and six, and the woman was pregnant at the time of the murder.
A murder case has been registered at the Levies station against the woman’s five brothers, and efforts to apprehend the suspects are underway.
