Some children were playing with an explosive device when it exploded


Lakki Marwat: Five children, including four girls, were killed, while 12 people, including 10 kids, suffered multiple injuries after a mortar shell exploded in the Sarband area of Lakki Marwat on Saturday.
Police, bomb disposal squad and ambulances rushed to the crime scene soon after receiving distress call.
The bodies and the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital. The condition of some injured is said to be critical.
Forensic experts gather circumstantial evidence from the crime scene. Police investigators have yet to decide the presence of explosive in open.
Police findings suggested that some kids brought the mortal shell to their home and started playing with it.
The explosive went off suddenly. Heirs of the victims and locals in the area suffered a sudden shock and expressed sympathies with the bereaved families.
