A search operation is ongoing in the area to track down the fleeing terrorists

Mianwali: Two terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Mianwali.
According to the spokesperson, the CTD received intelligence reports indicating the presence of terrorists near Kundian, who had completed plans to carry out attacks on police and other agencies. Acting on this tip, the CTD launched an operation.
During the raid, the terrorists opened fire, and CTD personnel responded. In the exchange of fire, two terrorists were killed—reportedly by their own accomplices' gunfire, while six terrorists managed to escape, taking advantage of the darkness.
The spokesperson stated that rifles, hand grenades, explosives, ammunition, and other weapons were recovered from the possession of the deceased terrorists.
A search operation is ongoing in the area to track down the fleeing terrorists, and surveillance in nearby locations has been intensified.
The spokesperson further said that CTD Punjab remains committed to its mission of ensuring a safer Punjab and is determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism from its roots.
He urged the public to report any terrorism-related information by calling the CTD Punjab helpline: 0800-11111.
