Sindh government would prioritize resolving the legitimate issues faced by transporters

(Web Desk): The negotiations between the Sindh government and transporters have been successful, after which the transporters decided to call off their protest. Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon met with the transporters and expressed concern over the recent accident and acts of violence.
A delegation of transporters, led by Haji Yousuf and Jam Alam, met Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon at the Commissioner House Karachi. Also present at the meeting were Karachi Commissioner Syed Hasan Naqvi, Secretary of Transport Asad Zamin, Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odho, and other officials.
Sharjeel Memon expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the accident and strongly condemned the violent incidents that followed.
He stated that the Sindh government would prioritize resolving the legitimate issues faced by transporters. “The loss of human life is irreparable and deeply saddening for all of us,” he said. “Violence and destruction are not the solution to any problem. We will work together with all stakeholders to resolve the issues of the transport sector.”
The senior provincial minister emphasized that measures would be taken to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. Those who took the law into their own hands and incited riots will be prosecuted under anti-terrorism laws.
He also stated that dumper truck owners will be required to ensure the installation of cameras, trackers, insurance, and valid driver licenses in their vehicles. A committee is being formed to assess the losses suffered by the transporters.
