(Web Desk): The districts of Swabi and Buner in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, affected by floods and landslides, are presenting scenes of devastation. Debris is scattered throughout the affected areas, and the atmosphere is filled with grief.
The death toll from the cloudburst in Swabi has risen to 28, including women and children. Around 20 houses have also been damaged.
According to the Commissioner of Mardan Division, three bodies were recovered from the debris, and one person who was rescued alive later succumbed to injuries. The search operation for missing persons is ongoing.
The families of those killed in Swabi and Buner are overwhelmed with grief. They said, "We had made our home our paradise — now nothing is left after the flood."
It is worth noting that over 350 people have lost their lives in recent rains and floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with 228 of them belonging to Buner alone.
