Islamabad: Pakistan has been granted permission to export fish to the US.
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said that Pakistan has been granted permission to export fish to the US for four years, which is a global recognition of Pakistani seafood quality.
Junaid Anwar stated that if Pakistani fisheries meet US standards, continuity in exports of marine products has become possible. Pakistan’s exports will be stabilized with the US approval.
He added that Pakistan exported 242,000 tons of fish last year, earning $489 million in foreign exchange, while next year exports are expected to reach $600 million.
