Islamabad: Another case of polio has been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The National Institute of Health (NIH) has confirmed the polio virus in a 20-month-old girl in Jandola tehsil of Tank.
According to the NIH, the area had been deprived of polio vaccination due to security concerns.
This is the 14th polio case in Tank district of southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year.
According to the NIH, the total number of polio cases in Pakistan reached 24 in 2025.
16 polio cases have been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, six in Sindh, and one each in Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan.
