Starc will continue to participate in domestic T20 leagues, including IPL


Canberra: Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc has announced his retirement from T20 Internationals with immediate effect.
According to Cricket Australia, Mitchell Starc has decided to retire from T20 Internationals to focus on Tests and ODIs.

The 35-year-old fast bowler, who has not played a T20 International match since last year’s T20 World Cup, will now be available for Australia only for Tests and ODIs.
In addition, Starc will continue to participate in domestic T20 leagues, including the Indian Premier League.
According to Australian media, Mitchell Starc has stated that Test cricket has always been his top priority.
Starc said, ‘I enjoyed every T20 match I played for Australia. Winning the 2021 T20 World Cup was a special moment’.
It is pertinent to note that Mitchell Starc played 65 T20 Internationals for Australia, in which he took 79 wickets.
