Shehbaz Sharif thanked Chinese President for Pakistan’s support in fight against terrorism


Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping has said that China supports Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.
After attending the 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached the Chinese capital, Beijing, from Tianjin on Monday by bullet train.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi also accompanied him.
During his stay in the Chinese capital, Beijing, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will attend the 80th anniversary celebration of the World War against Fascism.
According to Chinese state media, a meeting was held between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese President Xi Jinping in which Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Chinese President for Pakistan’s support in the fight against terrorism.
On this occasion, the Chinese President said that China supports Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.
He stated that he hopes that Pakistan will take effective measures to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel, projects, and institutions.
On the other hand, Shehbaz Sharif invited China to supervise the comprehensive dialogue in South Asia.
Addressing the SCO meeting, Shehbaz Sharif said that China should conduct a comprehensive dialogue in South Asia under its leadership so that we can quickly reap the fruits of these negotiations.
Earlier, the Prime Minister had also exposed Indian terrorism.
