Google Maps to get ‘live updates’ feature in Android 16
This feature is completely different from other Google Maps features or notifications

(Web Desk): For many people, Google Maps has become an essential part of daily life.
Now, this navigation tool is about to become even more useful with the launch of Android 16.
In the new Android operating system, Google Maps will feature a new tool called Live Updates.
Live Updates is a new type of notification in Google Maps designed to be used in specific situations — such as flight tracking, delivery tracking, or navigation.
This feature is completely different from other Google Maps features or notifications.
What sets it apart is that the live update will remain visible on the screen at all times, and will continue to function even when you exit Google Maps.
In fact, this navigation notification will also be visible on the lock screen, allowing you to see at a glance how much of your journey is left or how a task is progressing.
Google had been hinting at this feature for quite some time, but it has now finally been introduced.
According to a report by Android Authority, this feature will greatly assist users in finding their destinations more efficiently.
As mentioned above, the feature is currently available in beta version, so it is still unclear when it will be rolled out to all users.
