Lahore: The Punjab government has imposed an immediate ban on deforestation and timber auctions.
The provincial government has issued an order imposing an immediate ban on deforestation and timber auctions.
According to the order, the auction of all types of forest timber, including fuel, has been banned until further notice. New and transparent rules and regulations will be made with the help of modern technology and mapping.
The government has also directed the Director General of the Forests and Wildlife Department to ensure the implementation of the order.
