57 different projects in Pakistan are underway through World Bank funding


The World Bank will provide a loan of more than $2 billion to Pakistan for various projects in the current fiscal year.
The Economic Affairs Division says that the loan from the World Bank will be provided through the International Development Association and the International Bank for Reconstruction.
According to an official document, 57 different projects in Pakistan are underway through World Bank funding. The total cost of these projects is $16.6 billion that are related to agriculture, water, energy, finance, and revenue.
The Economic Affairs Division says that the projects for which the World Bank will provide loans include communication, rural and urban development, and human capital, social service, and governance projects.
According to the document, the World Bank has provided $11.84 billion in the last 7 years. The highest amount of $1.96 billion was given to the energy sector. More funds will be given for various projects in the coming years.
According to official documents, a loan of $1.8 billion was provided in the last fiscal year, while a loan of more than $2 billion will be provided by the World Bank in the current fiscal year.
