Government has directed the Director General of the Forest and Wildlife Department to ensure strict implementation of the order

Lahore: The Punjab government has imposed an immediate ban on deforestation and the auction of timber.
The provincial government issued an official notification enforcing the immediate ban on tree cutting and timber auctions.
According to the notification, all types of wood auctions, including firewood, have been banned until further notice. The government plans to develop new and transparent regulations using modern technology and mapping tools.
Additionally, the government has directed the Director General of the Forest and Wildlife Department to ensure strict implementation of the order.
