Peshawar: 605 incidents of terrorism were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the first eight months of 2025, in which 138 civilians were martyred.
According to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) report, 605 incidents of terrorism were reported during the first eight months of this year, in which 351 suspects were named, 32 were killed, and 5 were arrested.
According to the report, 138 civilians were martyred and 352 were injured in terrorist incidents. This year, 79 police personnel were martyred and 130 were injured across the province.
According to the CTD report, 129 incidents of terrorism were reported last month, in which 17 civilians were martyred and 51 were injured. 13 police personnel were martyred while fighting terrorists, and 46 were injured.
Last month, the highest number of terrorism incidents was 42, in which 186 suspects were named, while 8 terrorists were also killed in encounters.
According to the report, the highest number of incidents that occurred in Bannu last month was 42, followed by 15 in North Waziristan, 14 in South Waziristan, 11 in Dir, DI Khan, and 8 each in Kurram.
