TikTok introduces new feature allowing users to buy movie tickets directly through app
The feature has been rolled out in partnership with popular online ticketing service Fandango, and is being operated through TikTok Spotlight

(Web Desk): Short video-sharing platform TikTok has launched a new feature that enables users to purchase movie tickets directly within the app, according to a report by a tech website.
The feature has been rolled out in partnership with popular online ticketing service Fandango, and is being operated through TikTok Spotlight.
It has debuted alongside Disney’s upcoming film "TRON: Ares," which is set to be released in cinemas on October 10.
Now, while watching movie-related content on TikTok, users will see a "Get Tickets" button. By clicking on it, they will be redirected to Fandango’s website, where they can purchase tickets for their preferred films.
This new feature is especially useful for the #FilmTok and #MovieTok communities, which are actively engaged in sharing content related to films.
According to TikTok, about 50% of users in the US have discovered new movies through the app, and 36% went on to purchase tickets afterward.
The feature simplifies the entire process — from discovering a movie to buying its tickets — and further establishes TikTok as a major entertainment hub.
With this move, TikTok continues to expand its e-commerce capabilities, and it is expected that more shopping options will be added in the future.
