(Web Desk): In Lahore’s Model Town area, a husband stole his own wife’s jewelry, and the police have arrested the suspect involved in the incident.
Two years ago, a woman living in Model Town married Faisal Javed, a resident of Depalpur.
According to the woman, she befriended Faisal on social media, which eventually turned into a relationship, and they began their married life together.
The woman further stated that she had gone to her sister’s house, but when she returned, jewelry worth Rs30 million (3 crore) had been stolen from her home, prompting her to immediately report the matter to the police.
On her complaint, a case of theft involving 80 tolas of gold jewelry was registered at Model Town Police Station. The complaint mentioned that she was away from the house, but when she returned, the gold was missing, although there was no sign of forced entry or damage inside the home.
Initially, the Model Town police limited their investigation to family members and then interrogated the husband, who confessed to the crime within a few hours.
Based on the suspect’s disclosure, the police recovered the hidden gold from the house, arrested the suspect, and started legal proceedings.
