Court rejected police’s request for an 8-day physical remand in abduction case and ordered suspect to be sent to jail on judicial remand

(Web Desk): TikToker Samia Hijab’s alleged abduction and threats case: Suspect Hasan Zahid sent to jail on judicial remand.
According to the report, the hearing of the case related to the alleged abduction and threats against TikToker Samia Hijab took place in the District and Sessions Court Islamabad. The accused, Hasan Zahid, was produced before Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mahmood Chaudhry’s court.
The court rejected the police’s request for an 8-day physical remand in the abduction case and ordered the suspect to be sent to jail on judicial remand. However, in the cases of threats and extortion, the court approved a 2-day physical remand on the police’s request.
According to the police, the recovery of a mobile phone, a V8 vehicle, and weapons from the suspect is still pending, and arrests of other accused identified by Hasan Zahid are also underway. The police said that two cases have been registered against Hasan Zahid at Shalimar Police Station.
On the other hand, the defense lawyer informed the court that Hasan Zahid and Samia Hijab are engaged and that at the time of the incident, the suspect was at a rest house; therefore, the second case is baseless. The court ordered further investigation in both cases.
It is worth mentioning that Hasan Zahid is accused of attempting to abduct the TikToker from outside her house.
