(Web Desk): A video of well-known comedian and singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan being attacked with eggs in the United Kingdom has gone viral on social media.
In the short video circulating online, Chahat can be seen posing for selfies and videos with fans at a public location. He appears to be in a cheerful mood, when two individuals suddenly attack him by throwing eggs.
The footage shows the two assailants running up to Chahat and smashing two eggs on his head before fleeing the scene. Their faces are not visible in the video.
Those who were taking photos and videos with Chahat at the time appear shocked, while the comedian himself looks visibly distressed by the incident.
Interestingly, as the attackers flee, they can be heard humming Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s song “Bado Badi.”
Following the video's circulation, social media users condemned the attack, with many stating that even though they may not enjoy Chahat's singing, such an act is inappropriate and disrespectful.
Several users also demanded the arrest and punishment of those involved in the attack.
