The official notification warns that strict action will be taken against any institution found violating this directive

Islamabad: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) Islamabad has imposed a complete ban on corporal punishment of children in all educational institutions.
Taking notice of the incidents, the FDE has issued strict instructions prohibiting any form of physical punishment of students, declaring such actions a serious violation of the law under Section 3(2).
The official notification warns that strict action will be taken against any institution found violating this directive.
The FDE letter stated that despite repeated orders from the FDE and the Ministry of Education, disturbing reports have emerged indicating that students are still being subjected to punishment in some public schools, both in urban and rural areas.
The letter further directs that all heads of institutions must establish functional action committees, and that banners displaying details of these committees must be prominently displayed within schools.
Additionally, all Area Education Officers have been instructed to organize mandatory seminars on September 13, and awareness banners about the law must be placed in every educational institution.
