A case has been registered and the suspects have been arrested


(Web Desk): In Haripur's Khalabat Township, a married woman was allegedly gang-raped by five men.
According to Khalabat Township police, the victim is an Afghan national, and the initial medical report has confirmed the gang rape.
Police said a 21-year-old Afghan refugee, Shakeela Ahmadi, reported that her husband is abroad, and she lives in a rented house in Sector 3 of Khalabat Township's Nayi Abadi. The victim also has a valid Pakistani visa.
Khalabat Township SHO Inspector Siddiq Shah, citing the victim's statement, said she was walking to Camp No. 16 (Afghan camp) on Thursday evening to visit relatives when a young man suddenly overpowered her and took her to a cornfield. There, he identified himself as Bacha and forcibly raped her.
The woman further stated that as she was preparing to leave, four more of the suspect's accomplices, who were already present, arrived and also forcibly raped her one by one.
She added that when she resisted, one of the suspects slapped and punched her, injuring her face and lips.
The victim has reportedly identified all five alleged rapists. The suspects are Afghan refugees, and their names have been given as Nadi, Rozi, Khan Sher, Javed, and Naseer.
According to SHO Siddiq Shah, the initial medical report prepared at Trauma Center Haripur has confirmed the rape, while a detailed forensic report will be received later.
He said a case has been registered and the suspects have been arrested under Section 375-A of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The SHO added that the arrested suspects will be presented before the area magistrate's court on Saturday, September 13, for physical remand.
