Burger King starts accepting Dogecoin in brazil
Burger King— an American multinational chain of hamburger fast-food restaurants has announced that it will be accepting Dogecoin—Shiba-Inu face-themed cryptocurrency, for its dog treats in Brazil.

On July 27, Burger King Brazil first tweeted: "Hi, tudo bem Dogecoin? Remember this day: Burger King Brazil Is Now Accepting Dogecoin!" It also added hashtags Dogpper, BKDogpper, and SayYesToDogecoin to its tweet.

The next post came the same evening, two hours after the first one.
The fast-food company asked if you were out of reais, the official currency of Brazil.
Tá sem Reais? Compra com DOGE! É o Burger King revolucionando as galáxias mais uma vez! Estamos aceitando a crypto mais querida por todos, DOGECOIN como pagamento para o DOGPPER®. ?? A compra é fácil, vai lá no site>> https://t.co/7b3TBGdPTO. pic.twitter.com/4wP4Rn30pr

Translated, the announcement reads: “Are you out of Brazilian reals? Buy with DOGE! Burger King is revolutionizing galaxies once again! We are now accepting the much-beloved crypto Dogecoin as payment for DOGPPERS®. Buying is easy, visit our website.”
Each Dogpper is a meat-flavoured bone-shaped treat priced at 3 DOGE (roughly $0.63).
Burger King first launched its line of dog treats in 2019; however, this is the first time they have been available for crypto.
Even though the initial announcement on Twitter read as though the company was accepting Dogecoin for regular food items, a subsequent tweet posted at least two hours after the first one, clarified that the company was open to accepting the digital currency for 'Dogpper,' the dog treat it introduced in 2019.
Dogecoin was started as a joke but has been popularised immensely by billionaire Elon Musk, who often tweets about it.
