Two fatal traffic accidents occurred due to heavy traffic


Karachi: Four people, including a mother and son, were killed and two others injured in three separate traffic accidents in the city on Monday morning. Two fatal traffic accidents occurred due to heavy traffic.
A speeding water tanker hit motorcyclists near Landhi Hospital Chowrangi in the area of Quaidabad police station, resulting in the deaths of two people, including a woman riding a motorcycle, and injuries to a youth, who were shifted to Jinnah Hospital by ambulance.
The deceased woman was identified at the hospital as 45-year-old Raisa, wife of Ahmed, and the deceased boy was identified as 20-year-old Armaan, son of Ahmed, while the injured youth was identified as 24-year-old Hasnain, son of Ahmed.
The deceased woman and the boy in the accident are mother and son, while the injured boy is also the woman’s son. After the accident, the police took the water tanker into custody and shifted it to the police station.
According to SHO Inayatullah Marwat, the deceased and injured in the accident were residents of Landhi, and all three worked in a mill. The deceased mother and son were riding the same motorcycle in the accident. First, their motorcycle collided with another, and at the same time, a tanker coming from behind ran over them. After the accident, the driver of the water tanker fled the scene.
On the other hand, a boy died and another was injured in a traffic accident near Baldia Northern Bypass Haji Khasti Goth in the Mochko police station area. They were immediately shifted to the Civil Hospital Trauma Center by Edhi ambulance. The deceased youth was identified as 28-year-old Shahbaz, and the injured as 25-year-old Dawood Waldeet Aslam. According to an Edhi spokesperson, the accident occurred due to a collision with a high-speed trailer.
In another accident, a person died near the Defense Phase VIII Creek Vista Apartment in the Sahil Police Station area. His body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital by a hidden ambulance for legal action. The deceased was identified as 35-year-old Yar Jan, son of Noor Muhammad. According to rescue officials, the deceased was hit by a high-speed, unknown vehicle.
