NHA tried to repair motorway bridge, but work was stopped due to high water

Multan: A section of the motorway near Jalalpur Pirwala was washed away in the flood.
According to police officials, a section of the Multan-Sukkur M5 motorway was washed away in the floodwaters near Jalalpur Pirwala, after which the motorway was closed for traffic.
According to officials, the motorway was severely damaged due to a crack on the Uch Sharif Road. The National Highway Authority (NHA) tried to repair the motorway bridge, but the work was stopped due to high water.
According to officials, the water pressure on the dam protecting the city of Jalalpur is continuously decreasing. After the water of the Chenab River has decreased, water has also started receding in the flooded areas of Shujaabad.
On the other hand, dozens of settlements were affected by the crack on the Uch Sharif Road, while rescue operations are underway to save people and property.
