Imaan Mazari wants harassment case against CJ referred to Judicial Council

Islamabad: In a recent development, Advocate Imaan Mazari has filed a harassment complaint against Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar with the court’s harassment inquiry committee.
According to sources, Justice Saman Riffat Imtiaz, who heads the Islamabad High Court’s harassment inquiry committee for women, has received the complaint through her court associate.
The complaint alleges that an inquiry should be conducted under the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act to determine whether Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar made gendered and threatening remarks against Imaan Mazari. The complaint requests that Justice Dogar be held accountable for allegedly harassing the complainant.
Imaan Mazari further stated in her complaint that the matter should be referred to the competent authority, the Supreme Judicial Council, for action against Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar on grounds of harassment.
