With these new cases, the total number of polio cases in Pakistan this year has reached 26

(Web Desk): Two new polio cases have been confirmed in the districts of Lakki Marwat and North Waziristan in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC).
With these new cases, the total number of polio cases in Pakistan this year has reached 26. Polio is an incurable disease that can cause lifelong paralysis, and the NEOC has emphasized that all children under the age of five must be given polio drops during every campaign.
The NEOC stated that high-quality polio vaccination drives are ongoing in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to prevent the spread of the virus. These campaigns play a crucial role in protecting children from this incurable disease.
A new polio vaccination campaign has also begun today in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bajaur, and Upper Dir.
During this week's campaign, more than 1.685 million children will be administered polio drops. The NEOC has once again appealed to all parents to ensure that children under five receive polio drops during every campaign.
