Magnitude of the earthquake was recorded as 4.8 on the Richter scale

Lahore: Severe tremors of the earthquake were felt in most parts of Punjab, including Multan.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) received initial reports of the earthquake from all districts of Punjab. The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded as 4.8 on the Richter scale.
According to the PDMA spokesperson, the epicenter of the earthquake was 126 kilometers west of Multan, and the depth was 55 kilometers.
The administration across Punjab is busy checking buildings. The PDMA provincial control room, including the district emergency operation centers across Punjab, is on 24/7 alert.
Damages due to the earthquake can be reported on the PDMA helpline 1129.
