Banks’ deposits increased by Rs183 billion in August 2025


Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) released a report on bank deposits last month.
According to the data released by the State Bank, banks’ deposits increased by Rs183 billion in August 2025 to Rs34,463 billion, making it an increase of Rs3,685 billion in a year.
Bank advances decreased by Rs72 billion to Rs12,289 billion in August, while bank advances increased by Rs1,350 billion in a year.
According to the State Bank, bank investments increased by Rs112 billion to Rs36,303 billion in August, that is a 17 percent increase in a year to Rs5,270 billion.
The central bank said that banks' deposit investment ratio was 105.30 percent in August, and the banks' deposit advance ratio was 35.7 percent in August.
