In the modern method of 'coblation', affected tissues are burned with heat generated by electricity


Lahore: Pakistan and Punjab’s historic and first and most advanced “Coblation” cancer treatment has been launched.
According to details, cancer patients are starting to recover with the modern machinery imported from China by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. This is the latest and safest treatment method of Chinese experts, which has been officially launched in Punjab.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will inaugurate Punjab’s first modern cancer treatment machine, Coblation, today. Punjab’s first ‘Coblation’ center has been established at Mayo Hospital, where the training of doctors and staff has already been completed.
A team of doctors from Mayo Hospital Lahore has also successfully operated on two patients with lung and breast cancer using the latest treatment method. A blockage (tumor) in the arteries supplying blood to the liver and breast cancer has been successfully treated using electric heating.
In the modern method of 'coblation' treatment, affected tissues are burned with heat generated by electricity, and compared to surgery, this modern treatment method causes less pain to the patient and the healing process is also faster.
Doctors at Mayo Hospital have called this new treatment method and modern machinery a breakthrough in cancer treatment.
