Internet service slow in Pakistan
It may take 4 to 5 weeks to restore the affected cables

Islamabad: Federal Secretary IT and Telecom Zarar Hashim has said that it may take another 4-5 weeks to restore the two affected cables coming to Pakistan.
During the meeting of the Standing Committee, Committee Member Sadiq Ali Memon raised the issue of internet speed, saying that it is being said that three new cables are coming. If three new cables are coming, then why are there internet problems?
Responding to this, Federal Secretary IT and Telecom Zarar Hashim told the Standing Committee that the problem is serious due to the situation in Yemen as 4 to 5 cables have been cut.
According to Zarar Hashim, many submarine cables have been cut on the coast of Yemen, while two cables coming to Pakistan have been affected. It may take 4 to 5 weeks to restore the affected cables.
The federal secretary said that companies have shifted bandwidth to alternative routes.
