In the first phase, FBR will audit 100,000 wealthy people

Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to take action against those who flaunt their wealth on social media.
According to sources, data of millions of people who flaunt their wealth on social media has been collected. In the first phase, the FBR will audit 100,000 wealthy people.
Sources said that action will also be taken against non-filers who spend a lot on weddings. Those who wear suits worth $20,000 at weddings will be captured. Those who flaunt their bungalows, cars, and jewelry will have to disclose their sources of income.
The sources stated that the FBR will compare last year’s returns with this year.
