For the first time, Saudi Arabia celebrated its National Day in 1965

Riyadh: The Ministry of Manpower and Social Development in Saudi Arabia has officially announced a holiday on the occasion of the 95th National Day of the Kingdom.
According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, the announcement issued by the Ministry of Manpower states that Tuesday, 1st Rabi' al-Thani 1447 AH, corresponding to September 23, 2025, will be a public holiday in government, private, and non-profit institutions across the kingdom.
According to reports, National Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm every year. On this day, ceremonies, fireworks, and cultural activities are organized across the kingdom.
It is pertinent to note that the establishment of Saudi Arabia came into being as a result of a decree issued by Britain in 1932, and the founder of Saudi Arabia, King Abdulaziz, united the regions of Nejd and Hejaz and established a new kingdom called Saudi Arabia.
For the first time, Saudi Arabia celebrated its National Day in 1965. At that time, King Faisal bin Abdulaziz was the ruler of the kingdom. However, since 2005, a public holiday has been observed on this day in the time of King Abdullah.
Every year, public and private sector institutions celebrate a public holiday. Schools, colleges, banks, and all government institutions remain closed. This year, the National Day will be celebrated with the theme that pride is in our nature. This is a manifestation of what is characteristic of Saudi Arabia's culture, heritage, and natural environment.
According to a statement issued by the General Entertainment Authority earlier this year, the daily lives of Saudi citizens demonstrate generosity, courage, dignity, and hospitality.
