USA Cricket repeatedly violated constitution and failed to establish a governance system

Washington: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has suspended the United States cricket membership.
The ICC says that USA Cricket has repeatedly violated the constitution and failed to establish a governance system, due to which it could not be granted the status of a national governing body.
The ICC board meeting decided that the suspension of USA Cricket was a necessary and unavoidable measure.
However, despite the suspension, the US national team will be eligible to participate in the T20 World Cup in India, Sri Lanka, and other host countries.
The ICC said that after the suspension, the ICC itself will temporarily take over the management and administration of the US team so that there is no disruption to the team’s play.
