Certificate was also issued to the national airline for 5 years


Karachi: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been granted permission to operate passenger and cargo flights to the UK.
The path for PIA’s British air operations has been paved, and PIA has received the approval of the Third Country Operator (TCO).
According to the spokesperson of the national airline, PIA will start direct air operations to the UK from next month. In the first phase, flights to Manchester will be operated, after which Birmingham and London will be included in the B network.
The British Department of Transport formally informed PIA in this regard yesterday, and a certificate was also issued to the national airline for 5 years.
PIA has been given comprehensive approval, with which PIA will operate direct flights and carry not only passengers but also cargo.
The CEO of PIA expressed special gratitude to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense, and the Civil Aviation for their patronage and cooperation with other affiliated institutions.
The spokesperson of the national airline said that the CEO of PIA also thanked the PIA team, who had faced numerous audits with steadfastness for 5 years and achieved success in it.
