Falak is accused of running a provocative campaign and spreading defamatory content against state institutions

(Web Desk): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker Falak Javed Khan has been arrested. PTI strongly condemned her arrest in a statement on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
According to sources, Falak Javed was taken into custody last night from Sector F-10. She is accused of running a provocative campaign and spreading defamatory content against state institutions. Cases have been registered against her under the Electronic Crimes Act. Falak Javed had reportedly been in hiding for the past 16 months.
A petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court seeking her release. The petition, submitted by her father Javed Iqbal, requests the court to order her production in court and to provide details of the cases filed against her.
