‘Indonesia is among the top contributors to UN peacekeeping missions’

(Web Desk): Indonesia has announced its readiness to send more than 20,000 peacekeeping troops to help establish peace in Gaza.
Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto stated that Indonesia is among the top contributors to UN peacekeeping missions.
He added that if the UN Security Council or the General Assembly decides, Indonesia is prepared to deploy 20,000 or more personnel to support peace efforts in Gaza or anywhere else they are needed.
President Subianto further emphasized that there must, under all circumstances, be an independent Palestinian state, but also noted the importance of security guarantees for Israel, so that true peace can be achieved between both nations.
Meanwhile, a report by American media yesterday revealed that the United States wants Arab and Muslim countries to consider sending troops to Gaza to enable an Israeli withdrawal.
The US also wants these countries to contribute funding for governance transition and reconstruction efforts in Palestine.
