Islamabad: Pakistan has reported more than 5000 Covid-19 cases as fourth wave rages across country.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 5,026 cases of coronavirus were reported while 62 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 23,422.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 1,034,837.
As many as 941,659 patients have recovered from the disease with 3,208 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 356,920 in the province with 11,059 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 382,865 in the province, while the death toll has reached 6,001.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 144,264 in the province with 4,462 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 30,432 confirmed cases while 328 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 24,501 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 625. On the other hand, there are 8,156 cases in GB with 144 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 87,699 cases in the capital city while 803 people have lost their lives.
