Dengue larvae found in over 149,000 homes in Rawalpindi


(Web Desk): A total of 570 dengue patients have been reported in Rawalpindi district.
According to details, in the last 24 hours, 25 patients visited 52 government and private hospitals, while the total number of dengue patients in private hospitals has reached 550.
A total of 1,499 teams are actively working across the district to combat dengue. Due to poor reporting, inadequate checking, and absenteeism, 132 workers have been dismissed. During the inspection of 5,220,522 houses, larvae were found in 149,878 homes.
Additionally, during the inspection of 1,391,696 hotspot areas, larvae were found in 19,917 locations. So far, 4,154 cases have been registered, and 1,759 properties have been sealed.
A total of 3,374 property owners have been fined, with penalties amounting to 13.5 million rupees.
Medical experts have declared the dengue outbreak season to peak until November 15. Efforts to control dengue have not been fully successful, and the number of dengue beds in hospitals has been increased.
