F-47 will feature supersonic speed, advanced stealth technology, AI-based systems, and the capability to operate in coordination with drones

Washington: The US Air Force has announced that production of the sixth-generation advanced fighter jet, the F-47, has begun, with the goal of achieving its first flight by 2028.
Chief of Staff of the Air Force, General David Allvin, stated that Boeing has started building the first unit of the F-47. This aircraft is being developed under the NGAD (Next Generation Air Dominance) program and is expected to eventually replace the F-22.
According to reports, the F-47 will feature supersonic speed, advanced stealth technology, AI-based systems, and the capability to operate in coordination with drones.
US officials have said this move is significant in maintaining air superiority, especially in light of China’s recent military showcases.
The US Air Force confirmed that funding for the F-47’s development has been approved, and further investment in the project is expected in the upcoming fiscal year. Officials also stated that the aircraft’s first operational flight is anticipated before the end of the current presidential term.
