The strike resulted in the deaths of five Hamas members, including the son of Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya, and one Qatari security personnel

Washington: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has apologized to Qatar for an Israeli airstrike on the Qatari capital, Doha.
According to the international news agency Reuters, citing Israeli media, Netanyahu apologized to Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani for the airstrike in Doha and the death of a Qatari security official.
The Israeli Prime Minister, who had arrived at the White House for a meeting with US President Donald Trump, called the Qatari Prime Minister from there to express his regret over the incident.
It is worth noting that on September 9, Israel conducted an airstrike in Doha, targeting what it claimed was the central office of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas. The strike resulted in the deaths of five Hamas members, including the son of Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya, and one Qatari security personnel.
According to Hamas, the attack was aimed at eliminating the group's top leadership, but all senior leaders escaped unharmed. At the time of the strike, Hamas officials were reportedly reviewing a Gaza ceasefire proposal put forward by the United States.
