‘I welcome President Trump’s 20-point plan aimed at ending the Gaza war’

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposed plan to end the war in Gaza.
The Prime Minister stated, “I welcome President Trump’s 20-point plan aimed at ending the Gaza war. Lasting peace between the Palestinian people and Israel is essential for political stability in the region.”
He further emphasized that sustainable peace between Palestinians and Israel is crucial for the region’s economic development.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif added, “I believe President Trump is fully prepared to help turn this proposal into reality. I appreciate his leadership and the role of his special envoy in working toward ending the conflict.”
He also reiterated his firm belief that implementation of the two-state solution is essential for ensuring long-term peace in the region.
It is worth noting that President Trump presented the Gaza ceasefire plan during meetings with leaders of Muslim countries on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly last week.
President Trump is also expected to discuss the proposal with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a meeting scheduled for today.
