Lahore: The National Selection Committee has announced an 18-member squad for the South Africa series.
Shan Masood will continue to lead the team. Three new players have been added, including Asif Afridi, Faisal Akram, and Rohail Nazir.
The players who played in the Asia Cup will join the squad on October 4.
The squad also includes Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Apart from Shan Masood and the three new players, Abdullah Shafiq, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, and Saud Shakeel are also part of the squad.
The squad includes Amir Jamal, Hasan Ali, Khurram Shahzad, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Kamran Ghulam, and Abrar Ahmed. The squad will be further shortened before the first Test.
The first Test between Pakistan and South Africa will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from October 12 to 16. The second Test will be played in Rawalpindi from October 20 to 24.
The camp will continue in Lahore from September 30 to October 8.
