Cases have been registered against all the arrested suspects, and further investigations are underway


Karachi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out a crackdown against drug trafficking in various cities across the country, arresting five suspects in five separate operations.
According to an ANF spokesperson, a total of 271.7 kilograms of narcotics were seized during the operations, with an estimated value of over Rs62 million.
In Hyderabad, 24 kilograms of hashish were recovered from one suspect. Near Shershah Toll Plaza in Multan, 8 kilograms of ice (crystal meth) were found hidden inside cartons of 1,452 apples in a truck, and two suspects were arrested.
Similarly, near the Motorway Toll Plaza in Islamabad, 3 kilograms of heroin were recovered from a vehicle, and two suspects were taken into custody. In a desert area near Kuchlak Bypass in Quetta, 225 kilograms of opium were seized, while in Jewani, Gwadar, 11.7 kilograms of weed were recovered from bushes.
According to the spokesperson, cases have been registered against all the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act of 1997, and further investigations are underway.
