An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 has hit about 203 km (126 miles) south west of Nabire, Indonesia.

According to details, the depth of earthquake was 13 km from beneath the surface. No loss of life and property has been reported so far.
Earlier on last Monday, a strong underwater earthquake of 6.2 magnitude had hit Indonesia; however no tsunami warning was issued. The depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometers and its epicenter was 98 kilometers west-northwest of Luwuk, a town in Central Sulawesi province.
Indonesia frequently witnesses earthquakes and volcanic eruptions becaue of its location on the ‘Ring of Fire’, a hub of volcanoes and fault lines in Pacific Basin.
