Apart from Islamabad and Rawalpindi, heavy rain and hailstorms accompanied by thunder and lightning also lashed areas of Bajaur, Malakand, and Swat districts late at night.
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in various parts of Punjab, including Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Gujranwala, and Lahore today.
Apart from Dir, Chitral, Peshawar, Mardan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are also likely to receive rain.
In Sindh, rain is expected at a few places in Karachi, Hyderabad, and Mirpurkhas.
